Not counting trade schools or vocational schools because they have a direction and/or a focused end state. As far as other academic institutions, I would argue that the only students at any given university that have work ethic are the ones trying to attain a goal...medical, aerospace, legal, deantal to name a few...and then only a certain percentage of those students within those courses of study whom are really motivated to push forward. If your choice of academic study does not have a field of useful sciencific advancement, a state of the art that moves forward, contructive societal infrastructure, or at minimum a strong field of employment then why have you chosen to study it?

🎓BSc Professional Development in Health and Social Care 🎓👀 HE Open Evening 15th May 👀 https://lnkd.in/eBSZTP4S 🚨Did you know that New College Swindon has a University Centre? HE New College Swindon There are numerous advantages to studying higher education locally...💥 Not everyone can afford to move away to university.💥Responsibilities and commitments often mean that not everyone is able to move away.💥Not everyone wants to move away to Uni and we need to remove the stigma of staying local. 💥 Colleges have more part-time provision, more students in work, and more mature students than in universities💥 Around 10% of all undergraduate higher education is delivered in further education colleges, with around 187,000 students studying HE at a college in the UK.(UCAS, 2024)🎓Our BSc Professional Development in Health and Social Care is a top-up course designed for people who hold a Level 5 qualification and want to progress to Level 6. 🎓A year of study and one day a week in college – meaning it’s great for people who are working, and/or have other responsibilities and commitments. 🎓College University Centres typically have smaller classes than more traditional university classes – meaning you get more time with lecturers, and more opportunity for one-to-one support. 🎉 Feedback we have received from current students includes feeling like lecturers are invested in each student and their individual progression and success. https://lnkd.in/egWwNycNℹ️ Come and speak to David Panes (MSc) and I at our HE Open Evening on 15th May… or get in touch for more information, we are always happy to chat!

What is it really like to study at Radboud University? 🇳🇱Here's what one student had to say 👇🎓 Modern facilities and supportive teaching staff were standout parts of the experience. 🎓 It has a very large campus, which can make socialising with other departments difficult. Did you study at Radboud? Would you agree? Read more of this student's review at the link in the comments!#StudentReviews #StudyInTheNetherlands #HigherEducation

SAUSAGESA much-missed late friend and advisor FTC once quipped that at the end of the day most buy/sell business models come back to the production line.‘F***in’ sausages, Scroggs - just think about how to make and make a margin on better sausages’.Raw materials sourced and supplied cost effecfively into an efficient and predictable streamlined process, to transform them into premium products.Simple.Apply that to education and you find yourself quickly decending down the rabbit hole of ‘factory’ and ‘production line’ design thinking. The substack below shared by Matt Hart is a pretty compelling provocation about universities as factories.I remain committed to changing the sausage model. Maybe pulling rabbits out of hats.🐰 🎩 New Working Class

If you've recently been admitted to the HCI/d program at Indiana University Bloomington, congratulations! 🎉 Feel free to connect and ask me questions—just include a message when sending the invite.🏠 B-town Life: Yes, it's a typical college town with no airport (you'll need to go to Indianapolis for flights). Good thing we have affordable rent and (relatively) decent food options.🎓 Luddy School and IU: Resources and opportunities are plenty. Luddy has a great presence in research and innovation. The career service is also excellent: you can work with them even after graduation. Additionally, IU boasts one of the best schools of music (Jacobs) and business schools (Kelley).🏓 Sports!: Are you a fan of table tennis (ping pong) or interested in sports in general? Let's chat! I can share some insider tips and maybe even challenge you to a friendly match.🌍 Navigating as an International Student: As someone who learned and works as an international student, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with it. Consult the OIS whenever you have any questions. They're very supportive, and you can always call.Embarking on this HCI/d program is not just about academics. It's about embracing a community of like-minded individuals and seizing every opportunity for growth and success. Don't hesitate to connect with me—I'm here to help you thrive!#HCI #IndianaUniversity #Bloomington #LuddySchool #JacobsSchoolOfMusic #KelleySchoolOfBusiness #InternationalStudents #CommunityBuilding #Opportunities #StudentLife
